Pulak Ghosh

photoPulak Ghosh is a Professor of Quantitative Methods at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Prior to Joining IIMB, he was Assistant Professor at the Georgia State University and Emory University. Professor Ghosh’s teaching and research interests are in econometrics, business analytics, predictive analytics, financial modelling and statistics.

Dr. Ghosh received his Masters in statistics from Calcutta and his PhD in statistics from Oakland University, USA in 2003. He has more than 10 years of rich experience in academics and industry.

Pulak has also published over 60 research articles in internationally reputed journals, including the prestigious Journal of the American Statistical Association, Management Science, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society and MIS quarterly. Most of his research is due to some practical problems from industry.

He is currently on the editorial board of the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society; series A, Journal of Statistics and Applications, Journal of Applied Probability and Statistics and Co-editor of the Electronic Commerce Research and Applications. He also served on the Editorial board of the Journal of the American Statistical Association.
